After appearing in a movie together last year, Sam Milby and Yassi Pressman reunites in a romantic comedy titled “Ang Pambansang Third Wheel” produced by VIVA Films & The IdeaFirst Company.
Yassi plays Trina in the movie. She is a receptionist turned copywriter. After having her heart broken three times, Yassi becomes too choosy with men and has never given up on her belief that there is someone for each person. It has been so long staying single that she has accepted his fate as a third wheel to her friends who are all in a relationship. She promised to herself not fall in love with a guy if he doesn’t measure up to her standards.
On the other hand, Sam plays Neo who is an art director and works with Trina regarding an advertising project. Trina falls for Neo after seeing something special about him. Neo reveals that he is a father to an 8-year old son devastating Trina and to make it even worse, the boy’s mom (Sam Pinto) stands as her competition.
Trina becomes a third wheel between Neo and his son (Alonzo Muhlach) and hopes to become Neo’s “Only One”.
Fans can recall Sam and Yassis’s great chemistry after working together in the movie Camp Sawi. Director Ivan Andrew Payawal explains Yassi’s role in the movie..“Gusto niya s’ya iyong priority pero dahil in-accept n’ya itong lalaki na ito sa buhay n’ya, kailangan n’yang mag-adjust.”
Sam recently worked for ABS-CBN’s afternoon soap “Doble Kara” which aired for more than one year. Meanwhile, Yassi is popularly known for her role in the no. 1 Philippine teleserye “Ang Probinsyano” as Alyanna.
The two made waves last month after giving free hugs to the public. Yassi dressed in disguise so she can blend in with the crowd, & carried a sign which said, “Third Wheel ako sa Valentine’s. Pa-hug naman.
