Avida Land, a subsidiary of Ayala Land Inc., offers well-designed homes in secure communities through its 48 projects in 29 locations across the country. It provides its clients with value for money and convenience within reach, and has become the preferred developer among the rising middle class in the Philippines. Accessibility, unique features and amenities, quality assurance, stress-free buying, and a relaxing living experience are the five pillars Avida considers when developing its properties.
Maintaining a clean home for a healthy family is important to Avida as well. “We in Avida believe that cleanliness is crucial to those seeking to set off to a great start with their new beginnings in life, largely due to our belief that starting out in a clean home will create healthy and happy families,” said Tess Tatco, Head of Avida Corporate Marketing.
Along with its globally trusted home cleaning products, Domex and Cif, Unilever shares this cause and is working alongside Avida to promote healthy living through programs on proper cleaning and sanitation. Unilever will conduct a series of educational talks geared towards over 6,000 Avida homeowners in Bonifacio Global City, Quezon City, Muntinlupa, Parañaque, Cavite, and Nuvali. This will be done in collaboration with the Avida Customer Care Unit, headed by Nancy Delegencia, and the communities’ homeowners associations. These discussions aspire to increase knowledge on the proper use of household cleaning products and to promote the habit of keeping homes clean.
During the turnover of their units, new condominium and house and lot owners will also receive a cleaning caddy filled with some of Unilever’s household care products, such as Cif, Domex multipurpose cleaner, and Domex toilet bowl cleaner. Proper ventilation, free-flowing air, and sunlight, all integral elements in each of the units, will go perfectly with the cleaning products in promoting healthy living amongst Avida’s residents.
“Unilever Homecare is pleased to partner with Avida in its endeavor because we believe in making life’s new beginnings healthy and clean especially when it concerns families and communities,” said Dennis Chua, Domex and Cif brand manager.
This partnership is in line with the Domex 1 Million Clean Toiletscampaign, which seeks to raise awareness on proper toilet sanitation, provide access to basic sanitation for the less fortunate, and perhaps reduce the number of cases of diarrhea, which is the second leading cause of death among children below 5 years old in the Philippines. It’s also part of the Unilever Sustainable Living Plan, which endeavors to help improve the health and well-being of more than a billion people.
The movement aims to achieve one million clean toilets in time for World Toilet Day in November. Everyone is encouraged to join the campaign. Just visit www.facebook.com/DomexPhilippines, Like the page, and pledge by clicking the “One Million Clean Toilets” app or “Pledge Here” button.
