“Jane Oineza displays a new image plus new movie role where she is set to sparkle”
Gone are the days when Jane Oineza played the cutesy, teeny bopping and prim pubescent in the afternoon series.
The actress nowadays displays sultriness in a satin red spaghetti strap minidress that reveals her shapely legs and shod in black stilettoes.
Obviously she is ready to attack roles she thinks are edgy, novelty and gets her away from ‘comfort roles’. “Well, it was time po for me to grow bilang actress. So some three years ago naisip ko kung medyo daring ang roles na gagawin ko, hindi naman ako aasa na pang blockbuster actress, basta alam ko maganda yung role, kaya kong gawin, ay gawin ko po talaga”.
That brings to thought Jane never plans to or sees a chance to be on levels with the most sought after leading ladies today with green lights towards surefire blockbuster projects. She is wise to know she is in a league of her own.
That is why in her latest movie “Us Again” of Regal Entertainment, helmed by promising director and cinematography-trained Joy Aquino, Jane did not waste time to apparently anchor from or perhaps bring to the big screen, what she learned from her past and failed relationships, that wisened and molded herself into her intriguing character, Margie.
After a failed relationship with struggling artist Mike (RK Bagatsing), they both separated, only to chance upon each other after some five years and reconnected to bond carefully…friendly….at first.
Complications start when Margie starts questioning whether she or they both learned from the mistakes of their past. What decision will she and her ex-boyfriend make this time?…now that Mike is in a relationship.
Revealing that she has the heart for enduring up to some extent, the mistakes or missteps her real relationships went to in the past, Jane says she was “willing po ako to make room naman for fixes. So hangga’t kaya eh hindi naman iyon, hangga’t ahh kaya ayusin, like once, twice, thrice na nagkamali. Pero kung sumosobra na, iyung parang ginagago ka na, eh tama na! Hahahahaa! Hindi naman tayo magpapaka….ahh huwag na natin ipilit ang sarili natin sa taong alam naman niyang nagkakamali siya pero inuulit at inuulit niya pa rin. So mali na iyun”. Waking up then to her senses, Jane decided it was good to end the affair.
So in Us Again, with how she wants to give Margie some justice or redemption while hinting on her real-life past relationship, Jane wisely speaks from the heart that to be able to move on when the love is gone “importante magkaroon kayo ng closure. Importante ang closure. Kase ang dami ninyong pinagdaanan, ang dami ninyong memories together, so ang hirap naman na hindi ninyo pag-uusapan ng mabuti, kase walang kasiguruhan kung makaka-move on ka or ready ka na mag move on. So importante ang closure”.
Such a reliable actress Jane is, now wiser, and perhaps ready for new things to come. Again…career-wise
