Klienne Manaois Eco using a Canon 7D bagged the grand prize for the Macro – Nature Category of the Tamron Goes Wild On the Spot Photography Competition which was held last November 15, 2014 at the La Mesa Dam Eco Park.
The weather was not cooperative that day. It was raining almost the whole time of the competition only with an occasional lull in the rain gave a few windows to shoot dry making the competition very challenging. However, it was that challenging condition that made Klienne’s shot very atmospheric and unique making it a winner.
Here is the video of my interview with Klienne about his photo and the technical details on how it was shot.
Klienne got a Tamron SP 90 mm macro lens as the grand prize. This lens is one of the sharpest macro lens available in the market.
2nd Place
3rd Place
Bird Race Category
Anthony Balbin bagged the prize for the Bird Race category capturing 30 species of birds that proved to be very challenging because of the rain. He used a Tamron 70-300mm LD Di macro lens non VC during his shoot.
Congratulations to all the winners!
