Last February 13 marked a different and special day for me to celebrate Valentines Day with my wife. In these days of restrictions due to Covid-19 quarantine rules limiting some activities, having a special date with your love ones is quite challenging!
Started the day attending our church’s activity Relationship Matters. It gave me and my wife tips both practical and spiritual for having a great relationship.
The highlight of the activity was the Renewing of Vows! The simple ceremony with the church giving us flowers and a artwork with wordings for renewing our marriage vows.
Since we had a civil wedding only 34 years ago in YMCA Manila, this is like a simple church wedding for us ordained by a pastors.
The second part of our Valentines date was attend a live concert! Yes, a LIVE concert!
How was it possible to have a LIVE concert with all the restrictions. It was LIVE but a drive-in concert where the attendees are only allowed to watch from their cars! Of course you can get out of the car for toilet breaks or to buy food.
With Rico Blanco and KZ Tandingan on the roster of performers, it was definitely musical and entertaining.
Thanks to Globe Telecoms, Bonifacio Global City administration, we got an exclusive limited invite for the event. Globe users where able to trade their Globe Rewards points for ticket to the event.
It’s quite historical since it’s the first live concert in the country since the quarantine. So how did we interact with the artist with us being limited to watching in from inside the car? Honk Honk! Beep Beep! Flash flash the headlights!
Pressing the horn to show appreciation to the artist, beeping to the beat and being even part of the live performance was a great experience.
Food and drinks was easily available with some food stalls or by scanning the QR code they have given while entering the venue, you have the menus, links to the partner restaurants who delivers to your park in the parking lot!
Yes, it was a great day for me and my wife and definitely a Valentines Date to be remembered in years to come.
Happy Valentines Day!
