The Pokémon Company, in collaboration with Creatures Inc. and DeNA Co., Ltd., is excited to announce the launch of the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app, designed for mobile devices to facilitate casual Pokémon card collecting. The app is now available for download on the App Store and Google Play.

Daily Pack Openings
Players can now open two free packs every day to discover their favorite Pokémon cards. By utilizing pack stamina, which regenerates over time, players can open additional booster packs—one every 12 hours.
Wonder Pick Feature
With the new Wonder Pick feature, players can acquire a randomly selected card from booster packs opened by others. This feature allows for cross-language trading, enabling players to obtain cards in different languages, enriching their collections.
Featured Cards
The Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app will feature a variety of exciting cards, including:
- Venusaur ex: This unique illustration depicts Venusaur stretching its vines in battle for the first time.
- Greninja: The card showcases Greninja heroically navigating through water, bringing back nostalgic elements from the 2013 Pokémon TCG.
- Pikachu: This soothing illustration of Pikachu first appeared in the Pokémon TCG in 1996.
- Eevee: An adorable card featuring Eevee gazing at mysterious stones, including special full-card illustrations.
- Articuno ex: Depicts the Legendary Pokémon flying over an ocean amidst a snow flurry, perfect for collectors.
- Sabrina: The Gym Leader from the Kanto region is featured in this title, adding depth to the Trainer cards.

Players can showcase their favorite cards on display boards with various backdrops, creating stunning displays. Additionally, binders allow players to organize and present their card collections elegantly. Sharing these creations with friends and exploring others’ collections adds a social element to the game.

The app also includes engaging battles with mobile-optimized rules that fit easily into short timeframes. Players can classify cards into Pokémon and Trainer cards, forming a deck of 20 cards for battles.
Battle Flow and Strategy
Once players assemble their decks, they can engage in battles where strategic elements remain intact. Players can face off against friends, the computer, or other players worldwide in both casual and competitive matches.
Casual Features
To enhance casual play, the app offers auto-battling, Rental Decks, and Auto-build options. These features simplify gameplay for those new to the Pokémon TCG.
Customization Options
Players can personalize their experience with various accessories like card sleeves, play mats, and Pokémon coins. Duplicates can be exchanged for flair, enhancing both display and battle experiences.
Trading Cards
While the trading feature won’t be available at launch, players will eventually be able to trade cards with friends, fostering community engagement.
