Manulife Philippines’ latest brand campaign tells the inspiring journeys of six customers, including brand ambassador and long-time policyholder, Anne Curtis.
Manulife Philippines proudly introduces “Manulife Stories,” a heartfelt video series that highlights stories of dreams realized and the obstacles overcome along the way. This initiative supports Manulife’s new brand strategy and global tagline, “Where will better take you.”
The three-episode series features personal journeys from Manulife clients, including Peach Abella, Mark David, KL Fernando, Marielle Malaga, Yvonne Reyes, and Manulife brand ambassador and policyholder Anne Curtis. They share how resilience and wise investments made a lasting impact in their lives.
“Behind every insurance policy lies a deeply human story. We want our customers to feel confident that we are here to support their dreams and those of their loved ones,” said Sonali Verma, Chief Marketing Officer of Manulife Philippines.
“It’s incredibly moving to hear our clients share how the Manulife team provided support and encouragement when they needed it most. Through ‘Manulife Stories,’ we hope to inspire more Filipinos to take charge of their financial future, knowing that Manulife is their trusted partner,” Verma added.
The Journey to Motherhood
For KL, purchasing her first Manulife policy was a decision that later played an essential role in starting her family.
“My husband and I had been married for 14 years and always dreamed of having a child. IVF was our last option, and I reached out to my financial advisor to see if I could withdraw from my policy for the procedure. She guided me through the process, and a few months later, we had our son, Pedro,” KL shared.
Anne Curtis, who planned her finances early on, echoed KL’s sentiments. Her policy provided peace of mind during her pregnancy with her daughter, Dahlia, amid the uncertainties of the pandemic.
“Being in lockdown was frightening, especially since I wasn’t working. There was always the fear of ‘what if?’ Thankfully, I had the support of my husband and the reassurance of my insurance policy. That’s why I’m so grateful I prepared early. Manulife gave me the confidence I needed, transitioning from my carefree, travel-loving days to becoming a mother,” Anne expressed.
Preserving Futures Amid Loss
Losing a loved one can bring emotional and financial turmoil. Yvonne and Marielle shared how their Manulife insurance plans helped secure their families’ futures during difficult times.
Yvonne, who became a widowed single parent at 30, used her insurance benefits to support her daughter’s nursing education. “It was then that I realized the true value of having that plan. Now, I can use the benefit payouts for my daughter’s tuition,” she said.
Marielle also found solace in her insurance plan when caring for her mother in the ICU for a month. “I was afraid I’d have to pause my dream of becoming a healthcare professional to support my family. But the payouts from our Manulife policies covered the expenses and allowed me to continue my studies,” she said.
Addressing Unique Needs
Finding insurance coverage can be challenging for those with pre-existing conditions. Peach, who is HIV-positive, and Mark, a father to a child with autism and ADHD, found support through Manulife.
Mark emphasized the importance of securing his son’s future: “We couldn’t find that sense of security anywhere else. I know my son can’t face the world alone, so we want to give him every opportunity we can.”
With the help of dedicated financial advisors, both Peach and Mark were able to obtain policies that brought them peace of mind. “My advisor was the reason I now have an insurance policy. I’m deeply thankful to be secured today,” Peach shared.
