Street photography is a genre that has become very popular here in the Philippines. Filipino Street Photography groups in Facebook like Usapang Kalye (UK), Filipino Street Photographers (FSP), Wide Open Streets, Street Photography Philippines, and Litratista sa Daan (Daan) to name a few are very active with lots of members.
There are lots of Filipino photographers here and abroad (OFWs) who are enthusiastic in the Street Photography scene who not only joins Filipino groups but also international groups on Facebook of this genre like Black & White Street Photography, On Every Street, Streets in Color, Art Photo Feature, Street Togs, etc…
One of the Filipina street photographers who made a name in the international scene is Xyza Cruz Bacani, a domestic helper working in Hong Kong. Her street photographs were featured in The New York Times and Vogue Italia and her story featured in Philippine TV, Hong Kong news and even CNN.
