Get ready for a spine-tingling adventure on September 7th as PUBG MOBILE, one of the world’s most beloved mobile games, unleashes a terrifying Version 2.8 Update. Just in time for the spooky season of Halloweeks, the battlegrounds will be overrun by hordes of the undead, introducing eerie new foes, challenges, abilities, and items.
The Version 2.8 Update brings substantial improvements to the World of Wonder, including Creation Rating and a fresh Zombie PvE template, alongside a new Metro Royale Season and Cycle 5 Season 14.
In this update, prepare to face legions of infected Mutants swarming across Erangel, Miramar, and Livik until November 6th! The dark energy of Aerolith has transformed the lab that studied it into an abandoned wasteland, brimming with valuable supplies and resources. Entering this area grants a respawn card, ensuring that players get another chance.
Deep within Aerolith Lab and Outpost on these maps, players must fend off the Mutants from being absorbed by the Aerolith. The more Mutants absorbed, the more formidable the Rage Berserker boss becomes, offering a greater challenge. Defeating this formidable foe rewards players with a crate.
Three chilling variations of Zombies await players in the Version 2.8 Update. In addition to the regular Mutant, the towering Berserker brandishes weapons and shields in its muscular right arm, while the agile Ripper can swiftly leap and evade blows.
The rewards for defeating these undead horrors are well worth the fright. Some Zombies lurk ominously around the Aerolith Lab, but more potent Rage Berserkers prowl closer to the Aerolith, dropping genetic materials when defeated. These materials grant players enhanced supernatural abilities, including Mutation Gauntlets for devastating melee damage and a formidable Smash ability, as well as the razor-sharp Mutation Blade for slashing enemies, paired with a Sprint ability for nimble movement and damage on the go.
Players can also hop aboard the Maglev Hoverboard, available from the Lab, for swift land and sea traversal. And don’t miss the surprise in early October to kick off the Halloweeks festivities for the party enthusiasts!
The Version 2.8 Update introduces several gameplay enhancements, including improvements to the World of Wonder creative mode with Creation Rating, new gameplay devices for the Editor, and a new Zombie PvE Template. Here, new waves of monsters spawn each round, and only those who defeat them all emerge victorious.
