TPB and DOT Unveil Badian, Cebu’s Tourism Wayfinder

The Tourism Promotions Board Philippines and the Department of Tourism Region VII, in partnership with the Municipality of Badian, launched the Wayfinder (Signage) Program in Badian, Cebu to enhance the overall tourist experience.

Secretary Christina Garcia Frasco, TPB COO Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, DOT Undersecretary Shahlimar Hofer Tamano, Cebu Governor Gwendolyn Garcia, and others attended the unveiling.

The Wayfinders will provide directional information for tourists to explore these destinations. The Wayfinder Program is part of TPB’s strategy to collaborate with local governments for a full recovery of the tourism industry and supports DOT’s seven-point agenda.

The program aims to boost Badian’s recovery and development as a tourist destination in the Visayas region by improving navigation experiences at key tourist sites such as Osmeña Peak, Kandungaw Peak, and Kawasan Falls.

The Wayfinders were previously launched in Lucban, Quezon, and another is set to launch in Botolan, Zambales this year.
