JAPAN – The Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines and the Department of Tourism (DOT) will be conducting a tourism business mission on 28 November – 04 December in Osaka and Tokyo, Japan.
This multifaceted event is a yearly program that aims to serve as a platform and venue for the Philippines’ travel and tourism suppliers to meet with their Japanese counterparts to initiate and strengthen business partnerships.
The program in Japan this year will consist of several moving parts: a Philippine seminar to introduce and update the Japanese travel trade on significant developments in Philippine tourism; Business-to-Business (B2B) meetings where DOT Tokyo and DOT Osaka are anticipated to target over 120 Japanese buyers combined in the tourism industry for one-on-one business discussions with the Philippine sellers; and a Philippine reception to serve as a venue for additional business networking.
The Philippines delegation will be composed of the DOT Undersecretary for Administration and Finance, Atty. Shereen Gail C. Yu-Pamintuan and TPB COO Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles. They will be joined by the Philippine sellers composed of more than 60 suppliers from various tourism sectors such as hotels, resorts, and airlines.
On its 14th year of existence, this business mission to Japan will highlight the reintroduction of the Philippines’ new tourism products, exciting developments in the Philippine travel and tourism industry, and the warm reopening of Philippine borders to Japanese travelers for a safe and new normal travel.
As the top international trade show for the travel industry in the Philippines, PBM is expected to generate sales leads, secure business deals, and gather important market intelligence for sustained and effective marketing efforts.
