Timezone 2024 Basketball Challenge makes it rain

Basketball enthusiasts and arcade lovers had the chance to play and win big at a thrilling sporting event just in time for the Olympic season. The nation’s largest indoor amusement park chain pulled out all the stops for a competition that brought together ballers of all ages.

Timezone’s Make It Rain Basketball Challenge 2024 gathered the best players from across the country to compete in a high-stakes tournament where skill and strategy took center stage.

Held on August 10th at Timezone Ayala Malls Feliz, the event treated audiences to an electrifying showdown as sharpshooters made basket after basket, racking up points and having a blast.

Every shot mattered during the finals, but it was Michael Rasco, representing Timezone Cloverleaf, who emerged as the Grand Champion. He took home his very own Slam and Jam machine, outscoring the top shooters from 32 locations nationwide.

Not to be outdone, 1st runner-up Raylord Roxas from Timezone SM Mall of Asia and 2nd runner-up Efren Christopher Flaminia from Timezone Ayala Center Cebu walked away with cash prizes of ₱10,000 and ₱5,000, respectively, as the competition reached its thrilling conclusion.

From June 29th, participants aged 15 and older signed up at their chosen Timezone location to compete for the coveted title. Each contestant had two plays to score as many points as possible to advance to the next round.

Qualifying participants faced a triple challenge: weekly competitions to identify the best at each location, followed by venue finals where individual champions were selected to represent their branches.

Those who triumphed in these intense rounds advanced to the grand showdown, where the nation’s top ballers battled it out to determine who would be crowned the 2024 Baller King.

While this year’s champ stands tall as Timezone’s MVP, the fun isn’t over yet! Stay tuned for more exciting competitions coming soon.
