Tier One Entertainment’s first official reality show, The Gaming House, reached its exciting conclusion.
From September to December 2021, Tier One has searched for the Next Gaming Icon; an individual with the skill and charisma to become a Tier One talent.
Beginning with sifting through thousands of audition tapes, narrowing it down to a top 10 who would enter The Gaming House itself, and then through the weekly challenges laid out by mentors from all across the digital content creator landscape, we arrived at our top 4 trainees.
These were Jhowee Chris “HypeBeks” Colegado who became the 4th runner-up, Dannica “Boss D” Suazo, 3rd Runner-up, Ron Michael “Pabbie” Pabalan, 2nd runner-up, and the eventual winner, Sarah Nicole “Seyrah Gaming” Nesperos.
The Grand finale aired on December 12, 2021, and culminated in a lavish awards ceremony dubbed the IRL Awards, The event was held at Tier One’s headquarters in Quezon City (COVID safety guidelines were observed of course). Many of Tier One’s nominated talents were in attendance to witness the crowning of Seyrah as the newest member of the official roster.
It will be interesting to see how the careers of the top 4 trainees develop in 2022 and beyond, now that their reality show experience and fame will be backed by Tier One’s resources.
In the end, not only was The Gaming House successful in its hunt for the Next Gaming Icon, but it also brought more mainstream attention to video gaming and gamer culture from viewers as well as brands.
The Gaming House was broadcast on Kapamilya Online Live on ABS-CBN Entertainment’s YouTube channel and Facebook page, as well as on iWantTFC’s app and website, co-presented by Grab Philippines, and sponsored by other big-name brands such as Warner Music, Smart, Samsung, and Mountain Dew.
With the widespread backing and positive reception that The Gaming House received all around, a second season has already been announced. On top of that, Tier One Entertainment has teased more media properties in the works as well.
Look forward to more gaming-focused content in mainstream media as more eyes tune into the growing program offerings of Tier One Entertainment.
