Today marks the debut of the final trailer before the Season Two premiere of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power. The new footage reveals Middle-earth in turmoil, with Sauron’s machinations sowing discord and manipulation as more Rings of Power are forged. Amidst the chaos, unlikely alliances form and true friendships are tested. As dangers emerge from the shadows into the light, the fate of Eregion, Khazad-dûm, Lindon, Númenor, and the surrounding lands hangs in the balance.

This season brings the highly anticipated Siege of Eregion, a pivotal event in J.R.R. Tolkien’s Second Age of Middle-earth. The battle will be fierce, and not all will survive. The banners are raised, and the war against Sauron is set to begin.

The first three episodes of Season Two will premiere on August 29, 2024, with new episodes streaming weekly until the thrilling season finale on October 3, 2024.

In this new season, Sauron returns, cast out by Galadriel and stripped of his army and allies. The Dark Lord must use his cunning to rebuild his power and oversee the creation of the Rings of Power, aiming to subjugate all of Middle-earth to his will. Building on the epic scope of Season One, Season Two plunges beloved characters into deeper darkness, testing their resolve as the world teeters on the edge of catastrophe. Elves, dwarves, orcs, men, wizards, and Harfoots will face strained alliances and fracturing kingdoms, with the forces of good fighting desperately to hold on to what matters most—each other.
