First Part of “The Chosen: Last Supper” to Screen in Cinemas Nationwide from April 10–13, 2025
Filipino fans of the global phenomenon “The Chosen” are in for a deeply moving cinematic experience as the first part of its fifth season, “The Chosen: Last Supper,” arrives in theaters across the Philippines from April 10 to 13, 2025—just in time for Holy Week.
Created by Dallas Jenkins, “The Chosen” has become a trailblazing success for its fresh, intimate, and human portrayal of the life of Jesus Christ and his disciples. Now in its fifth season, the series focuses on one of the most significant and emotional chapters of the Gospel: Holy Week, the final days leading to Jesus’ crucifixion.
Jonathan Roumie returns in his acclaimed role as Jesus Christ, joined by Shahar Isaac as Simon Peter, Elizabeth Tabish as Mary Magdalene, Paras Patel as Matthew, and Noah James as Andrew. The fifth season is divided into three parts, with the first two episodes making up the Philippine theatrical release.

With 88% of the Philippine population identifying as Christians, “The Chosen” has found a particularly passionate audience in the country. This local release is not only an entertainment event but a communal moment of reflection and spiritual connection.
“We are thrilled to bring ‘The Chosen: Last Supper’ to Filipino audiences on the big screen,” says Dr. Ashish Thomas, Regional Director of The Chosen for Asia-Pacific. “The series has touched the hearts of many, and we believe that experiencing it in cinemas will create a truly unforgettable and moving experience.”

“The Chosen” Takes Over BGC
To mark the Philippine premiere, “The Chosen” launched a massive takeover of Bonifacio Global City (BGC) in Taguig through an exclusive partnership with Fort Bonifacio Development Corporation (FBDC).
A special red-carpet premiere was held at Central Square Cinema, attended by celebrities, media personalities, Christian leaders, and key opinion leaders from all over the country. The BGC High Street was transformed into a full-blown immersive experience, with 3D LED billboards, lamp post banners, and a dedicated Holy Week-themed installation to set the tone for the season. One of the main highlights was the return of The Stations of the Cross to BGC after five years. Titled “The Chosen Faith Walk Journey,” the installation invites people to “come to the table,” pause, and reflect on Jesus’ ultimate sacrifice. From April 16 to 20, visitors can walk through key moments from Christ’s final days—from his condemnation to the Resurrection—mirroring the emotional and spiritual journey depicted in the series.
