Latest development elevates City of Firsts experience with unparalleled shopping, dining, and entertainment offerings
Araneta City’s transformative project, the New Gateway Mall 2, is taking shape with the gradual opening of thrilling stores and attractions, promising to redefine the urban experience in the metro.
With a P5-billion expansion, this multi-awarded Gateway Mall extension is set to revolutionize shopping, dining, entertainment, and leisure options in the area, adding over 200,000 sq.m. of new space to the flagship mall.
The New Gateway Mall 2 boasts a diverse collection of more than 400 brands, offering the latest concepts in fashion, technology, gaming, entertainment, health, and wellness. Some of the renowned brands already open include Anta, Converse, Puma, and Skechers, with many more to follow.
Food enthusiasts will find themselves in paradise with about 150 restaurants and food outlets to choose from. The Restaurant Collection, Coliseum Plaza, and Palenque by Claude Tayag showcase some of the best dining choices and sought-after food brands like a mano, Mamou, Grace Park, Wolfgang’s Steakhouse, Shake Shack, Abe, Tung Lok Seafood, Manam, Boteyju, Burgoo, Classic Savory, Vikings, Tim Ho Wan, and many others.
“The New Gateway Mall 2 reflects Araneta City’s pioneering legacy in commercial development,” said Rowell Recinto, Chairman of the Management Committee. “It’s a mall like no other, providing our patrons with unforgettable and gratifying experiences here at the City of Firsts.”
The mall’s contemporary architecture of glass and steel creates a welcoming urban oasis with two gardens – the Sensory Garden and the Culinary Garden – and The Lagoon, offering a relaxing ambiance for visitors.
Perched atop the mall is the Sagrada Familia Church, a unique 1,000-capacity church with a design inspired by the traditional headwear worn by Bishops. The Quantum Skyview, a 700-square-meter activity area, boasts the country’s first ceiling-mounted LED display, providing a captivating visual experience for events and activations.
The New Gateway Mall 2 also hosts Shopwise International Grocery Shopping, a non-membership grocery featuring an impressive selection of international brands. Paeng’s Gateway Bowl, catering to sports enthusiasts, and the Pop District Center, a first in the Philippines, offering an in-mall venue for everything pop culture, are also set to open soon.
With more food brands, retail outlets, and mall attractions scheduled to open before the end of 2023, the New Gateway Mall 2 completes Araneta City’s Gateway Square, a 400,000-square-meter mixed-use superblock, including the Gateway Malls, Gateway Office, Gateway Tower, Novotel Manila Araneta City, Smart Araneta Coliseum, Parking Garage South Building, and the upcoming ibis Styles Manila Araneta City.
“The New Gateway Mall 2 is part of Araneta Group’s plan to build a community that delivers a unique live-work-play experience. It serves as a foundational connection to other properties in the Gateway Square and ultimately, in Araneta City, offering opportunities for a personalized experience in a contemporary environment,” added Recinto.
As Araneta City continues to grow, other developments such as Cyberpark 3, the latest office building at the 8-hectare Cyberpark development, and ibis Styles Manila, the first ibis Styles branded hotel by international hospitality company Accor in the Philippines, are also on the rise.
