Team Falcons from Thailand has claimed the championship title at the Esports World Cup: Free Fire, after five days of intense competition from July 10 to 14. The team amassed an impressive total of 106 points, achieving 2 Booyahs and 65 eliminations on the final day. This stellar performance put them 7 points ahead of runner-up EVOS Esports, securing the championship trophy and a $300,000 cash prize.
The Grand Final saw intense battles, with EVOS Esports from Indonesia and Netshoes Miners from Brazil securing second and third place with 99 and 90 points respectively, separated by narrow margins. Despite the fierce competition, Team Falcons emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional teamwork to claim the Esports World Cup: Free Fire championship title. As the reigning champions of the recently concluded Free Fire World Series (FFWS) Southeast Asia 2024 Spring, Team Falcons’ victory reaffirms their dominance in Free Fire esports.
“This championship holds great significance for us as it represents a victory in our club’s home country,” said Team Falcons coach Conan.
Buriram United Esports’ Moshi earned the title of Most Valuable Player (MVP) and a $50,000 prize for his outstanding performance throughout the Esports World Cup: Free Fire. Moshi achieved an impressive 52 eliminations, dealt a total of 38,969 damage, and maintained an average accuracy of 23% across all matches in the tournament.
With this achievement, Team Falcons has secured its spot as the first team to qualify for the FFWS Global Finals 2024 in Brazil, set to begin in November.
Additionally, the FFWS Southeast Asia 2024 Fall will commence on August 16, under the official tournament slogan, “Fight for Legacy.” The regional tournament will start with six weekends of online matches, leading up to the Grand Final weekend from October 11 to 13 in Surabaya, Indonesia. “Fight for Legacy” signifies the intensification of Free Fire competition, promising a more thrilling and immersive experience for players.
