TECNO, the pioneering smartphone brand, and RSG, the leading esports organization in Southeast Asia, have unveiled their ambitious plans for a year-long partnership aimed at bolstering competitive gaming and nurturing esports communities in the Philippines and Malaysia. This collaborative effort, set to kick off in April 2024, is a continuation of their fruitful collaboration in 2023.
In this year’s initiative, TECNO will continue its backing of RSG Philippines and extend its support to RSG Malaysia for their esports tournaments. Additionally, the two brands will collaborate on developing community-based local esports outreach programs in both the Philippines and Malaysia. RSG players will also be appointed as TECNO’s official gaming ambassadors. The primary goal of this partnership is to enhance the standards of competitive esports, foster greater engagement among esports players, content creators, and the public, and inspire esports communities in both the Philippines and Malaysia.

Moreover, the professional players from RSG Philippines and RSG Malaysia will serve as TECNO’s official gaming ambassadors throughout 2024, beginning with the launch of TECNO POVA 6 PRO in the Philippines in March and TECNO POVA 6 PRO 5G in Malaysia in April 2024.
RSG Philippines boasts a strong presence in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (MLBB) competitive esports, having recently emerged as the champions of the ONE Esports MPL Invitational (MPLI) 2023. The team has also secured victories in notable events such as the Mobile Legends SEA Cup 2022 and MPL PH Season 9 (in 2022).
