Sun Life Philippines, the nation’s premier life insurance provider, has recently entered into a strategic partnership with Go Negosyo, a leading non-profit organization championing entrepreneurship. This collaboration aims to elevate financial literacy and secure the future of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) across the country.

The alliance is designed to guide MSMEs towards a more prosperous future by fostering an ecosystem that nurtures entrepreneurship, promotes financial inclusion, and strengthens the Filipino business landscape. Together, Sun Life and Go Negosyo will develop financial solutions tailored to the specific needs of MSMEs, providing them with access to capital, insurance coverage, and financial planning expertise.

A key component of this partnership is Sun Life’s active participation in Go Negosyo’s 3M (Mentorship, Money, and Markets) on Wheels initiative—a mobile entrepreneurship caravan that delivers business support services directly to MSMEs nationwide. At these events, Sun Life financial advisors will be on hand to offer consultations, helping entrepreneurs safeguard their business and personal aspirations.

“Supporting the future of our entrepreneurs is a crucial focus for Sun Life, as we recognize them as the backbone of our economy,” said Carla Gonzalez-Chong, Chief Client Experience and Marketing Officer at Sun Life Philippines. “Our partnership with Go Negosyo is a natural fit because we share a common vision of a nation where entrepreneurship flourishes, and every Filipino has the opportunity to achieve their full potential.”

Joey Concepcion, Founder of Go Negosyo, expressed his gratitude for the partnership, stating, “We are thankful to Sun Life Philippines for their commitment to supporting our MSMEs. Access to capital and financial literacy are vital components of successful entrepreneurship. Through this collaboration, we can better address the learning gaps that are often present among aspiring entrepreneurs.”

The signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) was graced by Carla Gonzalez-Chong, Cary Casipit, Sun Life Philippines Head of Client Segments Marketing; Joey Concepcion; and Thermina Ann Akram, Go Negosyo Executive Director.

During the event, Sun Life also unveiled its new tabletop board game, Play for Life: A Game of Choices, specifically designed for business owners. The game serves as an engaging tool to impart financial literacy tips and strategies.
