Steve Dailisan Appointed Head of Communications and Public Affairs as First Officer

AirAsia Philippines has notified guests of multiple flight delays today due to a software issue at the Air Traffic Management Center (ATMC) of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines (CAAP). At approximately 12 noon, CAAP informed all airlines of the technical problem, temporarily halting all departing and arriving aircraft at Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA). Flights from various local and domestic destinations of AirAsia also experienced disruptions. By 2:40 PM, the airline received confirmation that the issue had been resolved, and normal air navigation had resumed.

“Our airport staff effectively managed the disruptions by providing timely announcements and updates through SMS, media partners, and social media. AirAsia anticipates the situation to normalize soon. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our guests as the delays are beyond our control. Likewise, we extend our gratitude to our aviation authorities for promptly addressing the technical issue,” shared Steve Dailisan, AirAsia Philippines Communications and Public Affairs Head, and First Officer.
