Star Magic All-Star Games Draws Massive Crowds, Dominates Online Trends with Diverse Topics

The Star Magic All-Star Games of this year once again captivated a massive audience at the Araneta Coliseum and ignited significant online chatter as it dominated the trending topics list last Sunday (June 2).

In a sold-out arena at the Araneta Coliseum, Gerald Anderson, serving as a playing coach for the Shooting Stars Red team, expressed his joy after his team broke the winning streak of the “It’s Showtime” team. “Thank you to everyone who watched, to It’s Showtime. To the Star Magic boys, the dedication was incredible, and it paid off. We’re thrilled,” Gerald shared.

He went on to describe the team’s preparation, saying, “We prepared well. We put in extra work. We have a chat group where we constantly communicate. We motivate each other, always sharing inspirational words.”

Vice Ganda and Vhong Navarro led and cheered for the “It’s Showtime” team during the game.

On the other hand, Donny Pangilinan and Ronnie Alonte led the Shooting Stars Blue team to victory against the guest team Cong’s Anbilibabol Basketball Team.

“When I found out that we were up against Team Payaman and was asked to join, I didn’t hesitate because I knew it would be fun, and they’re a great and enjoyable group. I think it’s a fantastic experience for us and the fans,” Donny remarked.

He also praised Star Magic’s annual sports fest for its inclusion of artists. “I think it’s great that they also focus on sports. It’s a good reminder that no matter how hard you work, you should also take care of yourself and stay healthy. It’s nice to have more of these events,” he added.

Ronnie Alonte, River Joseph, Nelson Mendoza, Cris Lagudas, and Donny Pangilinan formed the Mythical 5 of the first game, with Ronnie earning the MVP title. In the second game, Ion Perez, Lance Carr, Argel Saycon, Derrick Hubalde, and Young JV comprised the Mythical 5, with Young JV being crowned MVP.

Meanwhile, the Lady Spikers, led by Loisa Andalio, successfully defended their crown in a volleyball match against the Lady Setters.

BINI’s Mikha Lim, Vivoree, Analain Salvador, Awra Briguela, Reign Parani, and Janah Zaplan were hailed as the Mythical Six, with Analain winning her fourth MVP award.

Nation’s Girl Group BINI graced the event and performed “Karera” and their viral hit song “Pantropiko,” during halftime of the final game. The new P-Pop boy group WRIVE also took the stage during the event. Star Magic head Lauren Dyogi and artists Mutya Orquia, BGYO’s JL and Akira, Chie Filomeno, Francine Diaz, Barbie Imperial, and Belle Mariano were also in attendance.
