The “Share the Road” campaign is an information, education, and communication effort that seeks to promote a culture of sharing the road and road safety among Filipinos. It centers around a video that features fun and easy-to-understand road sharing guidelines and road safety tips narrated by Kim Atienza.
SM Supermalls President Steven Tan emphasized the importance of respecting road rules and understanding that every road user has the same rights. Meanwhile, DOTr Usec. for Road Transport and Infrastructure Atty. Mark Steven Pastor stressed the need for Filipinos to adopt a mindset that every cyclist and pedestrian has an equal share of the road. He also highlighted the role of private sector partners like SM in expanding the campaign’s reach.
The event concluded with SM and DOTr representatives reciting a Pledge of Commitment to reaffirm their partnership and continue pushing for a more educated and disciplined road culture. Sec. Bautista emphasized the importance of empowering active transport users across the country through information and education campaigns.
