Following the successful launching of the online platform OnLive PH and the first virtual series joined by the Swedish group Joe and The Anchor last month, they surprised the public by guesting the Pinoy hit band Silent Sanctuary for their online series last Saturday, August 1.
On a Facebook Live, Silent Sanctuary became part of its second virtual series and performed songs. Despite the competition in the music/concert blog niche, we’re helping each other to promote local and foreign concerts,” said Christian Melanie Lee, OnLive PH’s co-owner.
Aiming to provide live performances despite community quarantines and restrictions, OnLive PH decided to establish the Live Series on their Facebook group which they recently added their Facebook page a month after.
OnLive PH got the idea of online concerts from other local and foreign artists who started maximizing the use of technology such as YouTube and Facebook to perform and entertain fans. From being a collaborative effort and built a community group, they’re ready to take over the live event scene.
“Like when I attended my first online concert for Super Junior’s Beyond Live last May 31st using a live broadcasting app called VLive, we used their light stick,” she added stating during an interview with This Is Hype PH that they came up with the idea of live performances online because of the concert she attended.
They are looking forward to guests’ more local and foreign acts for The Live Series. In addition, they are helping out local artists to promote their singles and albums.
