Sharp Philippines Expands CSR Efforts, Extends Aid Beyond Luzon

Sharp Philippines, a trusted name in home appliances, has successfully completed a key phase of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, reinforcing its commitment to supporting Filipino communities in times of need.

In December 2024, as part of its ongoing mission, Sharp marked a major milestone—producing its 11 millionth washing machine—by donating five washers, five dryers, and one twin-tub washing machine to 17 areas in Metro Manila. These units were turned over to local government offices for use in evacuation centers and community programs, ensuring families have access to clean clothes during emergencies.

Recognizing its contributions, the Malabon City Government awarded Sharp Philippines on October 1, 2024, for its assistance to victims of Typhoon Carina. Malabon City Mayor Jeannie Sandoval personally expressed gratitude for Sharp’s timely support in aiding those affected by the disaster.

With the Luzon phase completed, Sharp is now preparing to extend its CSR efforts to the Visayas and Mindanao regions, particularly in disaster-prone areas. This initiative highlights Sharp’s dedication not only to innovation but also to uplifting Filipino families nationwide.

Sharp Philippines remains committed to expanding its CSR initiatives in the coming months, strengthening its bond with local communities while addressing urgent needs. The company expresses deep appreciation to its loyal customers and partners for their continued trust and support.
