SAFC is proud to announce the impressive success of its “Be a Blood Donor, #BeALifeHero” campaign, which has saved 948 lives since 2023. In collaboration with the Philippine Red Cross and the Pasig City Local Government Unit (LGU), these blood donation drives were held at SAFC’s Head Office in Pasig, showcasing the company’s steadfast commitment to promoting health and wellness.
Aligned with international blood donation awareness efforts, SAFC’s drives took place in February, June, and October, highlighting the crucial role of blood donations for patients in need. In 2024 alone, SAFC’s initiatives have saved 496 lives, surpassing the 452 lives saved through similar efforts last year.
Volunteers from SAFC and Wisefund Finance Corporation played a key role in gathering a significant amount of blood, which will benefit patients, especially newborns and those fighting serious conditions like cancer.
SAFC President and Managing Director Joel C. Cruz and Senior Executive Vice President Raul Paul U. Mendoza were among the first to donate, leading by example. “Our blood donation drive reflects SAFC’s values—a company that genuinely cares for the well-being of Filipinos. It’s about embodying our principles of compassion and making a positive impact,” said SEVP Paul Mendoza. Their participation set a motivational tone and encouraged widespread participation within the organization.
Corporate Communications Group Head Robel de Jesus added, “Our mission goes beyond business objectives; it’s about making a real difference in the lives of Filipinos. The overwhelming support from our employees and partners strengthens our resolve to nurture a culture of compassion and community service.”
These blood donation drives are part of the SAFC HEROES program, the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm dedicated to community engagement and social impact. SAFC HEROES aims to inspire a culture of giving and encourage people to contribute to building a stronger society. Through initiatives that honor and assist community heroes, SAFC seeks to motivate further support for these causes.
Looking ahead, SAFC plans to continue this impactful program in collaboration with Pasig City LGU and the Philippine Red Cross, ensuring regular bloodletting sessions. These efforts reaffirm SAFC’s ongoing commitment to life-saving activities and promoting a spirit of compassion and service, proving that the company is dedicated to more than just financial services.
