Rising OPM Star Paolo Sandejas Joins Sony Music Entertainment

The moody guitar-pop track showcases layers of maturity and earnestness to his musical craft

Paolo Sandejas, a rising star in OPM, is the latest addition to the Sony Music Entertainment family. In a short span of time, Sandejas has captured international attention with his song “Sorry,” which BTS’ V sang and praised in one of his vlogs. In 2023, Sandejas released his 6-track EP “Bloom” featuring the hit single “Different Shade of Blue.” He also performed at the Wanderland Music and Arts Festival 2024, sharing the stage with global icons like Jack Johnson, Parcels, and Thundercat.

As his debut release with Sony Music, Paolo Sandejas has unveiled “sirens,” the lead single from his upcoming solo album. The moody alt-pop track, written by Sandejas, showcases a more mature approach to his musicality and songwriting.

The song marks a reunion with producer Xergio Ramos, who previously worked with Sandejas on “Someone New,” his collaboration with singer-songwriter Martti Franca. “The final track sounds so much fuller and more polished compared to what I initially brought to him, and I’m really grateful that he took the time and effort to help bring the song to life,” said Sandejas. “You’ll definitely be hearing more of him working on my songs in the future.”

“Sirens” lyrically explores the theme of finding home in a person. Sandejas captures the feeling of being reckless and spontaneous in life, knowing that everything will be fine as long as you’re with the person who feels like home. “I wanted to keep the lyrics really simple with slight variations between verses to tell the story in a subtle way,” he explains. “As writers, we often try to fit as much as we can into a song, but for this track, I wanted to be as efficient as I could while still telling its story.”

Paolo Sandejas continues to make waves in the music industry, and fans can look forward to more of his heartfelt and polished tracks in the near future.

Paolo Sandejas’ “sirens” is out now on all digital music platforms worldwide via Sony Music Entertainment.
