Star Cinema’s family-drama phenomenon, “Rewind,” achieves yet another milestone, emerging as the highest-grossing Filipino film with global sales surpassing P889 million as of January 26, 2024.
Earlier, “Rewind” had already made waves in the industry by becoming the highest-grossing film in domestic box-office history within a month of its theatrical release, surpassing records set by other Star Cinema blockbusters like “Hello, Love, Goodbye” and “The Hows of Us.”
The Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera-led drama continues to captivate audiences on its fifth blockbuster week, currently showing in over 270 theaters not just locally but also internationally in countries such as the UAE, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Guam, and Saipan. Audiences in Hong Kong can also anticipate the opportunity to witness this record-breaking Filipino blockbuster soon.
Directed by Mae Cruz Alviar, “Rewind” was the official entry of ABS-CBN Film Productions Inc. (Star Cinema), APT Entertainment, Inc., and Agosto Dos Pictures in the 2023 Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF).
