“Bitaw,” a new pop song by former “The Voice Philippines Season 2” contestant Poppert Bernadas and Asia’s Songbird Regine Velasquez-Alcasid, has been released under Star Music.
Produced by Poppert and A Team, the song aims to remind listeners to let go of negative things that may affect them. “It’s ok to let go especially if you know you’re at the losing end. It suggests that even if it’s difficult, while it is still early, protect your heart from all the hurt and pain by letting go,” Poppert said about the inspiration behind the collaboration.
Regine joined the project when Poppert’s original collaborator became unavailable due to scheduling conflicts. For Poppert, the opportunity to work with the renowned singer was a dream come true. “Never in my wildest dreams did I think I would collaborate with the one and only ‘Songbird,’ Ms. Regine Velasquez #dreamsdocometrue,” he shared.
Apart from his music career, Poppert is also an actor. He has appeared in ABS-CBN series such as “Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin” and “Starla” and played the role of Kenny in the popular musical “Rak of Aegis.” In 2022, he headlined the Cultural Center of the Philippines’ “Triple Threat: Three Tenors” concert series. He is currently managed by Ogie Alcasid’s A Team and Star Magic.
“Bitaw” is available on various music platforms, and its lyric video can be found on YouTube. Follow Star Music on social media for more information.
