Radyo 630 and TeleRadyo Serbisyo have reaffirmed their commitment to serving the Filipino public through swift relief efforts in the wake of Typhoon Carina’s devastation.
During the storm, Radyo 630 and TeleRadyo Serbisyo mobilized their teams to the Delpan Evacuation Center, where they provided warm meals to 1,500 individuals from Manila Districts 1 and 3. Additionally, they delivered 78 kilos of vegetables to residents of Barangay Tumana in Marikina City.
The Radyo 630 response team also supported over 1,600 evacuees in Barangay Bagong Silang, Quezon City, and Barangays 159, 164, and 169 in Caloocan.
In addition to their immediate relief efforts, Radyo 630 and TeleRadyo Serbisyo were crucial in delivering live weather updates during the storm and subsequent heavy monsoon rains across multiple platforms.
As Typhoon Carina subsided, Radyo 630 hosted “Puntahan ng Bayan: Para sa Kalusugan” on July 31 in Tondo, Manila, celebrating Nutrition Month. The event, led by Radyo 630 anchors DJ Jhai Ho and Dr. Dennis Ngo, brought together over 400 attendees for engaging activities and educational talks on family nutrition and hygiene.
