QBE’s Adopt-a-School Program, in collaboration with the Philippine Business for Social Progress, continues to make a significant impact in the education sector. Beyond its support for Zapatero Elementary School,QBE is also dedicated to enhancing the learning environments at R.P. Cruz Senior Elementary School in Manila and Bagong Lipunan Elementary School in Cebu.
QBE Group Chief Executive Officer Andrew Horton (center) and other members of the QBE Global Executive Committee and Global Shared Services Center visited the Zapatera Elementary School for the inauguration of the school’s feeding room. As QBE’s second adopted school in Cebu, Zapatera Elementary School was assisted by the company in the construction of its feeding room. It also received an additional PhP2.5 million donation for the construction of its innovation room, purchase of school supplies, and daily feeding program for undernourished students. The school is home to 2,804 students and 86 teaching staff.
