Mabuhay ang Pelikulang Pilipino: Full List of Winners at the 2024 Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival

The first-ever Puregold CinePanalo Film Festival wrapped up its awards night on Saturday, March 16th, at Gateway Cinema 5. The celebration of Filipino filmmaking continues until March 19th, showcasing a range of student shorts and full-length features at Gateway Cineplex.

Here is the full list of the official winners’ results:

Full-Length Films:

  • Best Picture: “Under a Piaya Moon”
  • Special Jury Prize & Best Director: Sigrid Andrea P. Bernardo, “Pushcart Tales”
  • Best Actress (tie): Shamaine Buencamino (“Pushcart Tales”) & Jeff Moses (“Under a Piaya Moon”)
  • Best Supporting Actress: Nicole Omillo, “Boys at the Back”
  • Best Supporting Actor: Joel Torre, “Under a Piaya Moon”
  • Best Ensemble: Cast of “Pushcart Tales”

  • Best Screenplay: Raynier F. Brizuela, “Boys at the Back”
  • Best Cinematography: Nathan Bringuer, “Under a Piaya Moon”

  • Mowelfund Film Institute Special Citation: “Ka Benjie” by Alexa Moneii Agaloos

Production Workshop Scholarships:

Ten deserving filmmakers received scholarships for a production workshop, including directors behind “Smokey Journey,” “Till ni Lola,” “Text FIND DAD and Send to 2366,” and more.
