The Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP), the leading organization for public relations professionals in the country, is set to host a groundbreaking event titled AI Masterclass in PR and Communications: A Certification Workshop on ChatGPT Strategic Integration. This workshop aims to equip participants with the skills and knowledge to leverage the power of ChatGPT and other AI tools to enhance communication strategies.
Co-organized with two prominent international organizations, the Global Alliance and the School of Communications and Reputation (SCoRe)—an India-based institution specializing in reputation management—the workshop offers both online and in-person attendance options. It will take place on September 28, 2024, at the Ascott Makati’s Quirino-Garcia function room from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
The masterclass will delve into AI technologies and their implications for public relations, focusing on how tools like ChatGPT can revolutionize communication strategies. Key topics include an exploration of ChatGPT’s advanced features, including plugins, extensions, and its application across different media formats such as text, images, videos, and audio. Participants will also receive training in prompt engineering tailored to both general and specialized PR needs.
Ana Pista, Chairperson of ProfDev 2024 and a key leader at PRSP, shared her excitement for the event, saying, “This workshop is a testament to PRSP’s commitment to advancing the PR profession. I’m deeply thankful to our partners at Global Alliance and SCoRe for their support in bringing this event to life. I’m eager to witness the positive impact this masterclass will have on our industry.”
The event will feature Hemant Gaule, co-founder and dean of SCoRe, as the keynote speaker. Gaule is an expert in AI applications, having trained over 2,000 communications professionals and educated more than 200 students globally. His vast experience in delivering insightful talks on AI makes him a highly anticipated figure for this masterclass.
“I’m honored to be part of this event and grateful to PRSP and Global Alliance for the opportunity,” said Gaule. “This workshop is a great platform to address the ethical considerations of AI while demonstrating how we can harness its potential in public relations.”
The workshop aligns with PRSP’s PR for All initiative, which promotes inclusivity and ethical practices in the PR industry, and supports the broader KNow Movement—PRSP’s campaign to combat career stagnation among PR practitioners.
PRSP continues to lead the way in fostering innovation and professional development within the public relations industry, setting standards of excellence through initiatives like this masterclass.
