PLDT Enterprise extended the free connectivity service it provided to the municipality of Linamon, Lanao del Norte in aid of its COVID-19 vaccine rollout.
The B2B arm of the country’s largest fully integrated telecommunications provider, PLDT, has installed fixed and broadband lines that would enable communication and data management for the Municipal Civic Auditorium vaccination site in Linamon for free.
“This free internet access you have provided to us helps a lot in our government operation especially in this time of pandemic. Our frontliners and officers can transmit real-time data to oversight government agencies on COVID-19 monitoring and assist our LGU in disseminating information on containment and mitigation measures to flatten the peak of COVID-10 in our municipality and vaccination program to Linamon citizens,” said Municipal Mayor Randy J. Macapil.
“I would like to express my sincere gratitude for the quality of service provided by your good business. Thank you for your continuous support in providing us good service and looking forward to more years of partnership,” he added.
Ben Melasa, PLDT Enterprise Corporate Relationship Management Head for Mindanao, said that the company has been committed to assisting local and municipal governments when it comes to reliable connectivity for the use of frontliners facilitating the vaccination program.
“As the government works to reach herd immunity, PLDT Enterprise will be their partner for technologies such as internet solutions that enable fast and efficient management of information in our vaccination sites,” said Melasa.
“We will continue to extend as much support as we can to aid the country’s faster recovery against the pandemic. Through this, we can be of help to our local businesses aiming to bounce back from the onslaught of the pandemic,” he added.
PLDT Enterprise has been actively supporting the national government’s drive to combat the spread of the virus through initiatives that boost the delivery of COVID-19 relief response.
Various municipal governments across the country have also received free internet connection from PLDT Enterprise to support the students’ online learning and the online operations of local businesses. For more information, visit pldtenterprise.com.
