Pinoy Media Congress 2025: ABS-CBN Announces April Event

ABS-CBN, in partnership with the Philippine Association of Communication Educators (PACE), is set to host the 20th Pinoy Media Congress on April 24-25 at the University of Makati. The event will feature discussions on the latest media trends and industry insights, culminating in the awarding of winners from the “Class Project” intercollegiate mini-documentary competition, organized by the Knowledge Channel Foundation, Inc. (KCFI).

Bringing together the country’s leading media professionals, the Pinoy Media Congress will provide a platform for up to 1,000 communication students and professors to engage with experts, gain valuable industry knowledge, and prepare for careers in media.

To formalize the collaboration, a memorandum of agreement was signed by ABS-CBN Vice President for Corporate Communications Kane Errol Choa, PACE President Mark Lester Chico, and University of Makati President Dr. Elyxzur Ramos.

Meanwhile, KCFI and PACE have also strengthened their partnership for the “Class Project” competition, which encourages Filipino college students to produce mini-documentaries tackling the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDG). The top three winners and five finalists will be announced during the event. KCFI President and Executive Director Rina Lopez and PACE President Mark Lester Chico were present during the signing.

First launched in 2017, the “Class Project” competition aims to amplify social issues while providing a platform for student storytellers to showcase their documentary filmmaking skills.

Since its inception in 2005, the Pinoy Media Congress has been recognized for its impact, earning accolades from the Philippine Quill Awards and the Anvil Awards.
