Another exciting Canon Photomarathon was held at the Bonifacio Global City this November 8 with registration starting early in the morning up to the deadline of submission of 4 pm. The judging was hard with the number of entries submitted for 2 categories. By around 8:30 pm, they started announcing the top 10 for each theme for both the compact and DSLR with Interchangeable Lens categories.
The two themes were:
- Circle, Fashion, Peaceful (1st part)
- Cross, Exciting, Cityscape (2nd part)
After showing in the big screen the top 10, then they showed the top 3 for each theme & categories
Here are the winners.
DSLR Category
Jerome Duenas using a Canon 550D bagged the grand prize of the 2014 Canon Photomarathon DSLR Category.
His photo reached the top 10, then the top 3 in the second theme Cross, Exciting, Cityscape.
It was then declared the overall winner in the DSLR category. He gets a 7D Mark II as one of his prizes. His 7D Mark II is one of the first units in the Philippines.
Creze Elme (left person holding his photo on the podiom), using his Canon 6D full frame DSLR, got the 2nd runner-up position for his photo. The 1st runner-up was not there at the awarding.

Winners & Photomarathon 2014
Below is the group photo for the overall winners in both categories.
Congratulations to the winners of the Canon Photomarathon 2014! Kudos also to Canon Philippines for arranging another exciting Canon Photomarathon.
I think next year will be more exciting. There are some rumors that the Canon Photomarathon 2015 might be open also to other camera brands like it is in other countries and like it used to be in the initial years of the popular Canon event.
What do you think? Should other brands be allowed also to compete in the Canon Photomarathon 2015? Agree or Disagree? Are the Canon users ready to battle it out with Nikon, Pentax, Fujifilm, Sony, Olympus, Panasonic, and other brands photographers? Do you think it’s a good idea?
Please let us know your opinion in the comments section below.
See you all next year at the next Canon Photomarathon!
Wow si Christian nag papapicture na 🙂 Congrats
Congratulations to the winners! God bless everyone!
