Philippines Returns to Arabian Travel Market 2024

The Philippines is set to make its mark once again at the Arabian Travel Market (ATM) 2024, taking place from May 6 to 9, 2024, at the Dubai World Trade Center. As the premier global travel event in the Middle East, ATM serves as a pivotal platform for nations to showcase their tourism offerings and forge significant partnerships within the global travel sector.

This year, under the theme “Empowering Innovation – Transforming Travel through Entrepreneurship,” the Philippines will underscore its dedication to innovation and sustainability in tourism. Leveraging various opportunities such as contactless engagement devices, prominent advertisements on the exhibitor portal, and the promotion of the Travel Philippines app, the country aims to highlight its commitment to embracing innovation in travel.

Building upon the success of last year’s participation, the Tourism Promotions Board (TPB) Philippines has secured a larger booth space of 90 square meters and extended invitations to 16 seller companies. These companies will showcase a diverse range of tourism offerings, aiming to position the Philippines as a preferred Asian destination among attendees.

Maria Margarita Montemayor Nograles, Chief Operating Officer of TPB, emphasized the growing interest in international travel among citizens of GCC countries. Recognizing this trend, the Philippines is intensifying its efforts to maintain and enhance its presence in the Middle East, with the goal of positioning itself as a top-of-mind destination in Asia.

Leading the delegation will be Department of Tourism (DOT) Secretary Maria Christina Garcia Frasco, alongside key officials including Undersecretary Myra Paz Valderrosa-Abubakr, Assistant Secretaries Verna Buensuceso and Rica Bueno, and select members from the House of Representatives.

The Philippine booth will feature 16 private sector co-exhibitors from hotels, tour operators, and destination management companies (DMCs), including prominent names such as Annset Holidays, Inc., Ark Travel Express, Biyaheko.ph, and many more.

In 2023, ATM shattered attendance records, attracting over 40,000 visitors across the four-day event. It boasted 2,109 exhibiting companies from 156 countries, generating over US$3 billion in sales.
