The Philippine Legacy is thrilled to announce its continued collaboration with internationally acclaimed fashion designer Michael Cinco for the upcoming Philippine Legacy Gala this December at the Marriott Hotel.
This year’s event will feature Cinco’s latest collection, inspired by the rich history and culture of Rome, offering an evening of sophistication while raising funds for the Philippine Missionari della Fondazione di Carità, Inc., a non-profit organization that supports the Missionaries of Charity in their efforts to aid vulnerable communities across the Philippines.
“The overwhelming success and public demand following Michael Cinco’s showcase at our 2023 gala inspired us to bring him back this year,” said Archie Tan, Co-founder and Producer of The Philippine Legacy.
“Michael’s unique blend of tradition, innovation, and Filipino artistry struck a chord with our audience, leading to his return with ‘The Impalpable Dream of Eternal City, Roma.’ Through our partnership with Michael, we aim to increase donations and continue building a society that honors dignity, provides essential services to the less fortunate, and upholds the values of love, compassion, and selflessness,” he added.
For Michael Cinco, the collaboration holds deep personal significance. “Participating in the Philippine Legacy Gala to support impoverished families in Manila is profoundly meaningful to me,” he said. “It’s not just about presenting my work on a prestigious platform; it’s about using my craft to contribute to a greater cause.”
The Philippine Legacy has played a vital role in promoting Filipino talent and artistry on the global stage, all for a meaningful purpose. Their ongoing partnership with Michael Cinco underscores their dedication to supporting and showcasing world-class Filipino designers while giving back to the community.
Reflecting on his involvement, Cinco expressed a deep sense of responsibility and fulfillment. “Knowing that my collection can contribute to an initiative that directly aids impoverished families in Manila fills me with a sense of purpose,” he explained. “Fashion, in this context, becomes a powerful tool for social good, bridging the gap between creativity and compassion. It emphasizes the responsibility I have as an artist to give back to my community and use my talent to make a positive impact.”
Albert Andrada, Co-producer of The Philippine Legacy, echoed these sentiments, emphasizing the synergy between Cinco’s artistry and the gala’s mission. “Michael’s collection not only elevates Filipino fashion but also brings crucial attention to our cause,” Andrada noted.
“Together with Judith Tan (President and Founder) and Charles Pontier (Co-founder), who have been instrumental in our organization’s success, Michael’s commitment to using his talent for the greater good aligns perfectly with our mission, showcasing the transformative power of art and generosity.”
The Philippine Legacy Gala is set for December 2, 2024, at the Marriott Hotel and promises an unforgettable evening of fashion, culture, elegance, and purpose.
