Filipino-Canadian artist Peyton Garcia navigates the diverse stages of love in his new EP, Wishful Thoughts, blending summer and party vibes.
Released under StarPop, the EP features five tracks, including the lead single “Way It Was,” which explores the sudden heartbreak that comes with unexpected changes in a relationship.
Peyton wrote all the songs on the EP, including his previously released singles “Vanilla Bean” and “Tension,” as well as new tracks like “Akin Ka” and “No Vacancy.” Michael Cursebox handled the EP’s production, with StarPop label head Roque “Rox” Santos and ABS-CBN Music creative director Jonathan Manalo serving as executive producers.
A Toronto native, Peyton developed his musical passion through songwriting, touring across the US and Canada with the “Mini Pop Kids” group. He has recorded multiple songs, appeared in music videos featured on ET Canada, and during the pandemic, launched the Virtual Reality Show (VCR), an online platform highlighting local youth talents. He also ventured into acting, with roles in Amazon Prime’s Amelia Parker and Nickelodeon’s Overlords and the Underwoods.
