Fresh off the success of her debut smash single “Forget About Us,” global sensation Perrie unveils her latest track, “Tears.”

“Tears” exudes a Motown influence, delivering a smooth and sultry vibe crafted by multi-platinum producer Ido (known for his work with Justin Bieber, Camila Cabello, Shawn Mendes) and Feli Ferraro.

Perrie describes the song as a journey of emerging from adversity, shedding tears of the past to embrace empowerment. “It’s about that moment of feeling liberated, leaving the tears behind because you’ve made it through,” she shares. “I’m excited for everyone to experience this sultry and smooth track.”

In April of this year, Perrie launched her solo career with “Forget About Us,” immediately soaring into the Official Charts Top 10 Singles Chart, dominating The Official Big Top 40 from Global for two weeks, and claiming the No.1 spot on UK radio airplay for an incredible five weeks. This month, she takes the stage as one of the performers at Capital Radio’s ‘Summertime Ball’ at Wembley Stadium.

Over the past year and a half, Perrie has been deeply involved in writing and recording her debut solo album. The album reflects her eclectic musical influences, drawing from her rock n’ roll upbringing, Motown, disco, country, 80s vibes, and vibrant pop. Throughout, Perrie’s powerful vocals take center stage, fearlessly navigating each melody and soaring high notes.

Most of the album was crafted at Perrie’s North London home, a sanctuary where she feels most at ease. Encouraged by her fiancé Alex, they transformed their dining room into a home studio equipped for her creative process. Collaborating with a select group of producers and co-writers—including Ed Sheeran, RAYE, Johnny McDaid, Feli Ferraro, and Jon Bellion—Perrie delves into personal themes and emotions, shaping a debut that’s both vulnerable and exploratory.

“Being able to express exactly what I feel and want in these solo sessions has been an incredible experience,” Perrie reflects. “It’s allowed me to explore all facets of my emotions and life, creating something deeply personal for my debut project.”
