The anticipation is high among fans of “Pinoy Big Brother” (PBB) all over the world as thousands continue to join the online auditions for its ninth season called “PBB Connect” via the live-streaming app Kumu.
As of yesterday (October 29), a record-breaking 135,870 audition entries have been uploaded on Kumu by 76,704 unique aspiring housemates who shared their talents and life stories in their bid to enter the famous Big Brother house. This is the highest number of turnout for auditionees in the history of the ABS-CBN reality program.
The love and support of netizens for the show were even more felt in the first live-stream of “PBB KUMUnect,” a digital show exclusive on Kumu featuring some of the audition entries from the aspiring housemates. The stream garnered over 1.31 million diamonds, which are virtual gifts given by viewers to streamers in Kumu.
It also got 526,400 likes while 127,300 unique viewers watched the live-stream. More surprises and revelations are in store for them every 5 pm on the official Kumu account of “PBB” (PBBABSCBN) in the coming days.
Meanwhile, the search goes on for the 12 new housemates of “PBB Connect.” Aspiring housemates can submit their videos via Kumu until November 11. ABS-CBN entertainment production head Lauren Dyogi gave this tip to them.
“Make sure that it’s an authentic way of presenting yourself. Kasi kung hindi ‘yun ang totoong pagkatao mo, malalaman at malalaman namin ‘yan,” he explained in an interview with ABS-CBN News.
By bringing “PBB Connect” to life, ABS-CBN and Kumu aim to provide hope and strengthen connections among Filipinos during this pandemic. Stay tuned for it on Kapamilya Online Live, Kapamilya Channel, A2Z channel 11, and Kumu.
