NYC-BASED FILIPINO PRODUCER RELEASES ELECTRONIC TRACK “CITY RUNS”

New York City-based Filipino producer Arthur Tan has dropped a new yet nostalgic synthwave track City Runs,” evoking a burst of energy on a night out released under ABS-CBN’s Tarsier Records.

“I made and re-made this track with the memories of me walking around New York City at night, just enjoying the lights, the energy from the parties, the last ‘hoorah’ as I would say,” he said.

Arthur grew up in Manila and has been active in the music industry as a DJ, musician, and dancer for at least 15 years, bringing diversity and passion to his emotionally charged take on electronic house music. After making his mark in the Philippines, he went on to pursue his craft in New York and quickly found his place performing all over Manhattan and Brooklyn.

“My move to NYC back in 2018 had a huge impact on my music – the lights, the buildings, and the environment I found myself in all became my influence,” he revealed.

The all-instrumental track “City Runs” will be part of Arthur’s upcoming “After the Party” electronic play (EP) record that is set to drop on all digital streaming platforms on May 28 (Friday).

“After the Party” depicts a coming-of-age in the big city narrative manifested in four electronic and dance tracks. Its first single, “Sleepwalking,” was released in September 2020 followed by “City Runs” this month.

Arthur is one of the new acts featured in Tarsier Records’ “Class of 2021,” the label’s ongoing campaign in its continuing efforts to promote Filipino talent on the world stage.
