On December 10, we had the honour of being invited to the press release of the new revived show ‘Blow by Blow’ hosted by our very own Manny Pacquiao. The show will release on December 13, 2015 at 2pm every Sunday just before PBA.
What is the show Blow by Blow all about?
The show is all about boxing. Pacquiao himself will host the show and look for future boxers personally. He will train, advice, and also give tips to viewers on how he does some of his boxing moves. This show hopes to help find the next Manny Pacquiaoin the Philippines and gives young talented boys from the provinces a chance to make their name known. It gives filipino boxers a platform to showcase their talents.
3 Reasons to watch blow by blow:
1) This show wants to help the poor and bring them out of poverty
There are many talented filipino boxers in the Philippines, but many are not given a chance to shine. This may be due to poverty and the difficulties of life. These difficulties prevent them from moving forward. Blow by Blow show hopes to find the hidden gems in the Philippines and help them reach international impact. The winner of the show will be brought to America to train and fight, that is one of the major prizes. This gives anybody a chance to be the next Manny Pacquioa.
2) They show you personal stories of each boxer
Many filipinos work hard and train everyday in boxing, we just don’t know about them because they are not given a chance to shine. This show allows us a personal look at the realities of the life of a normal filipino boxer. They go in depth on how they train and even the pain that they need to face in order to perservere. I think this is amazing because we get to know even more of our filipino brother’s and sister’s and get to support them in their journey. These are actual fights and these are not staged.
3) They have exciting announcement to make during the show
During the show they revealed that Manny Pacquiao will announcing big things regarding his career. Things that he will revel on the show first and then it will be known all over the world.
What is the prize?
A boxer in each division who has th emost number of wins for a period of 12 months will be names “Most Outstanding Flyweight” (or Bantamweight, Featherweight, Lightweight or Welterweight) and will receive a trophy and a cash prize.
No matter what weight category there will also a GRAND PRIZE to the boxer who shows exemplary performance during the season. This boxer will be named the Most Promising Boxer Season 1 and will receive the Manny Pacquiao MPB trophy and a cash prize.
Why does Manny want to do this show?
This show was all Manny’s idea, he volunteered his time and efforts to help filipinos excel in the boxing sport. He believes that we need to support our very own filipinos in boxing, and there are many more hidden talents out there.
So, go ahead and watch the new show which will premier on December 13, 2015 at 2pm on TV5. Not only will you have a good time but you will also show support for our Filipino athletes.
