NATIONAL SCHOOLS PRESS CONFERENCE 2015. Two students from Southern Leyte, who dreamt of competing for the National Schools Press Conference (NSPC), had their dreams come true through the gracious help of Col. Alejandro “Alex” Teves Escano (center), a philantropist and a public servant. The students, namely Lourdes Fiel Mare Orita (Grade 8) and Jose Oliver Obus (Grade 6), competed for the category of Copyreading and Headline Writing. NSPC 2015 was held recently in Taguig City with its theme, “Empowering Resilient Communities through Campus Journalism.” Here, Olita and Obus expressed their gratitude to Col. Escano by giving the latter a plaque of appreciation.
