Narzo secures Anvil Award on debut appearance

Young smartphone brand gets recognized for its nationwide initiative

In its first-ever attempt at the 58th Anvil Awards held on March 8, narzo Philippines clinched the prestigious Silver Anvil award for its entry titled “narzo Roundtable Series: An Inclusive Approach to Brand-Building”. The brand, which is only 7 months old, managed to secure the accolade, cementing its position in the market.

The award was presented in the Special Events and Exhibits category and recognized narzo’s efforts in September to October 2022, when it adopted a collaborative approach that involved both Metro Manila and Regional media to strengthen its nationwide presence. The Silver Anvil was given to narzo in recognition of its “effective implementation of an inclusive and collaborative approach to establish ties with media nationwide and extend its brand presence in key areas of the Philippines.”

Carlo Nemo, the Public Relations Officer for narzo, expressed gratitude and honor upon receiving the recognition from the Public Relations Society of the Philippines (PRSP). “We are both grateful and honored to be recognized by the PRSP,” said Nemo. He dedicated the victory to their media partners for their unwavering support towards narzo’s mission of delivering quality devices within the budget segment to the Filipino market.

The Anvil Awards is a prestigious event in the field of Public Relations and is presented annually by the PRSP. It is regarded as the highest symbol of excellence in the industry. The awarding ceremony, named Gabi ng Parangal, was held at the Manila Marriott Hotel in Newport, Pasay City, and was themed “Isang Habi” or One Weave, emphasizing unity and collaboration. This year’s event had a Filipiniana theme that celebrated the rich culture and heritage of the Philippines.

The announcement of narzo winning the Anvil Award coincided with its seventh month of brand presence in the Philippines. The Quality Sulit lineup of narzo currently offers six smartphone models, ranging from the entry-level narzo 50i Prime (PHP 4,499) to the mid-range narzo 50 Pro 5G (PHP 13,999).

The challenger brand’s growth has been rapid, with a strong presence in both offline and online platforms during its infancy period. As of March 2023, narzo has established 64 physical stores across the country, with plans to expand further throughout the year. Notably, the brand has more stores in the provinces than in Metro Manila, which helps it reach even the farthest regions of the country. Narzo also has a significant online presence on e-commerce platforms such as Shopee, Lazada, TikTok, Zalora, and SM Malls Online.

On social media, narzo has amassed over 36,000 followers on its official Facebook page and a growing online community of over 15,000 members. The brand has set multiple sold-out records during Double Digit and Payday Sales, and its models have been included in various Gaming and Budget year-end lists of media publications for 2022.

narzo Philippines has a lot in store for its fans in 2023. The brand remains dedicated to its mission of providing affordable and dependable technology to the average Filipino and plans to introduce new smartphone models throughout the year.

Moreover, narzo will soon be organizing an amateur competition for enthusiastic mobile gamers in the coming months, featuring a battle royale title to enhance its gaming connection. Additionally, narzo has planned partnerships with local mobility brands for this summer.
