2012 was the year I got interested in Street Photography (SP). After attending a wedding photojournalism workshop by Mel Cortez where Edwin Tuyay was one of the speakers, I was intrigued by this genre when Ivy, one of the facilitators, mentioned that Edwin was a part of Usapang Kalye (UK), a hard core Filipino street photography group. With the tagline “You Have Been Warned!”, I felt the urged to take the challenge. That’s how I got interested in Street Photography.
After getting a few photo walks and lots of discussions in UK’s, and joining other two SP groups, Filipino Street Photographers (FSP) and Litratista sa Daan, I got hooked into this genre of transforming the mundane to ext-ordinary.
Now I’m a mainstay in Litratista sa Daan group but still connected with fellow Street Photographers from other groups.
For my first year of SP, here are some of my favorite SP photos:
I been hooked by this genre and it’s now my favorite photography genre!
