Biggest MLBB esports tournament in the Philippines to send top two teams to MSC 2024 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia

MPL Philippines, the nation’s premier MLBB esports tournament, is moving to a larger venue in the South for its 13th edition. The playoffs season will take place at SM Southmall, Las Piñas City, and is expected to draw over 10,000 offline spectators from May 22nd to May 26th, 2024. Six teams have secured their playoff spots: AP Bren, ECHO, Blacklist International, RSG Philippines, Minana EVOS, and ONIC Philippines.

The teams will compete fiercely for the prestigious title and the lion’s share of the prize pool valued at USD 150,000 or approximately PHP 8.5 million. The top two teams will earn the opportunity to represent the Philippines in the upcoming Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Mid Season Cup (MSC) 2024, featured at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, boasting a staggering prize pool of USD 3 million or approximately PHP 171 million.

For the first time, MPL Philippines will debut the Bahasa Indonesia Stream on MPL Indonesia’s YouTube, Facebook, and TikTok channels, catering to Indonesian fans who wish to watch the tournament online. Join Mirko, Pak Pulung, Momo Chan, and other Indonesian casters as they bring the MPL-PH matches live to the Indonesian MLBB community!

Additionally, the league will launch the Matanglawin Spot Challenge, encouraging viewers to spot the MSC trophy randomly appearing on screen at any time of the day. Participants can take a picture of themselves pointing to the trophy and post it on their Facebook with the hashtags #MPLPHS13 #MSC2024 #LakasNgPinas.

MPL-PH Season 13 also introduces the MPL-PH Alamat Awards, paying tribute to legendary icons who have contributed to the growth of MLBB esports in the Philippines, including players, managers, and members of the press. Another iconic figure in Philippine MLBB esports will be inducted into the Hall of Legends.

Furthermore, offline spectators can immerse themselves in a range of on-ground activities at the MPL Community Hub, situated in SM Southmall Game Park. Here, fans can partake in various activations, engage with artists and cosplayers, and relish the watch party area. MPL-PH teams will also host merch booths, offering fans the opportunity to purchase the latest jerseys, jackets, stickers, and other memorabilia.

Additionally, after each match series, MPL-PH teams will hold Meet and Greet sessions, providing fans with the chance to snap photos with their favorite players!

MPL Philippines receives support from Smart Communications, Inc. as its official telco partner. Meanwhile, Infinix has inked a long-term agreement with MPL-PH, spanning four consecutive seasons commencing from season 13. The league will feature the Infinix GT10 Pro as the official tournament phone for Season 13.
