MAMA 2021
This year’s Mnet ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS will have a new judging section and approach to better represent popularity and artistry.
Three of the four major categories, Artist, Song, and Album of the Year, are selected by a panel of KPop professionals based on music and album sales.
‘Worldwide Icon of the Year,’ and the ‘Worldwide Fans’ Choice TOP10′ award is a popular evaluation that completely represents the voices of worldwide K-pop fans.
By establishing a new judging technique appropriate for the judging sector, it will ensure fairness by balancing the appraisal of popularity, artistry, and creativity, and it will reinforce its position as a worldwide awards event that has led the K-pop trend.
The ‘professional category’ will also be enlarged this year to include music specialists from all fields who have contributed to the growth of K-pop. This implies it will represent K-rising pop’s worldwide influence.

MNET ASIAN MUSIC AWARDS
The Mnet Asian Music Awards is a major South Korean music awards event held yearly by CJ E&M Entertainment. The majority of the rewards are given to KPOP musicians, however some are given to other Asian acts. The first awards event took place in 1999 in Seoul and was televised by Mnet.
