Mary Delle Cascabel crowned as the first-ever grand champion of the hottest dance competition in the country, “Girl on Fire” on “It’s Showtime,” flaunting her confidence, sexiness, and exceptional dance skills.
Hailing from Cebu, Mary Delle blazed the stage with an impressive total average score of 9.3 from the combined scores of Hataw Royalties judges, including Regine Tolentino, Sunshine Garcia, G-Force Myka, AC Bonifacio, Chie Filomeno, Zeus Collins, Jay Roncesvalles, Vimi Rivera, and John Prats. She outshone her fellow contestants, Kaye Alfafara (8.7) and Beverly Ypon (7.7).
As the grand champion, Mary Delle won an exclusive management contract with Star Magic’s Polaris and P500,000 from S.C.D, while Kaye and Beverly each received P50,000. Meanwhile, the first contestants who got eliminated, Jess Reyes, Kim Dueñas, Nica Santos, Krystin Mendoza, Kim Tubiano, Jelai Ahamil, and Ahlex Leyva, received P20,000 each.
The grand finals of “Girl on Fire” was a hit among Filipinos, with the official hashtag #GirlOnFireTheBlazing finale topping the trending topics on Twitter nationwide. The names of the contestants, judges, and even the show’s new segment, “Isip Bata,” trended in the Philippines.
