Kapamilya singer Marlo Mortel channels his frustration over unfaithful relationships in his latest Star Music single, “Tag-init.”
The emotionally charged pop track questions why love fades and how some choose disloyalty over commitment.
“Para ito sa mga manloloko, sa mga in a relationship pero pinipili pa rin lumandi sa iba,” Marlo expressed in a post on X.
As both the composer and producer of “Tag-init,” this marks his second release of the year following his Valentine’s single, “Manhid.”
Marlo first gained fame as an actor in hit Kapamilya series like Be Careful With My Heart and Oh My G! before venturing into music. He made his mark in the OPM scene with the song “M.O.O. (My Only One),” an entry in the 2015 OPM Fresh songwriting competition.
In 2018, he released his debut album, “Serye,” which earned him the Male Pop Artist of the Year award at the 11th PMPC Star Awards for Music. His latest single, “Tag-init,” has already gained attention, landing a spot on Spotify’s New Music Friday Philippines playlist.
