Breakthrough artist Maki is making history as his latest single “Dilaw” continues to top charts and dominate streaming platforms. On Spotify, Maki leads as the male OPM artist with the highest number of monthly listeners, totaling 6.5 million.
“Dilaw” has also achieved back-to-back weeks at the top of Billboard Philippines’ Hot 100 and Billboard Top Philippines Songs (July 6 and 13). This hit single has set new records, becoming the OPM song with the most single-day streams on Spotify and the third OPM song to enter the Spotify Global chart.
The track’s success extends internationally, reaching the Spotify Viral chart in Saudi Arabia, Singapore, New Zealand, Canada, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Malaysia, and the United Arab Emirates. On iTunes Philippines, “Dilaw” clinched the top spot, making it the fifth best-selling OPM track on the platform, and has surpassed 10 million views on YouTube.
Maki expressed his disbelief and gratitude in an interview with ABS-CBN News, saying, “I’m really grateful, especially to everyone who worked behind this song. This achievement is beyond my expectations.”
In addition to “Dilaw,” Maki’s previous single “Saan?” continues to thrive with over 90 million streams on Spotify, alongside other popular tracks like “Kailan?” and “Sikulo.” The Tarsier Records artist also reached No. 5 on Spotify Philippines’ Daily Top Artists.
